Bulgaria
What first springs to mind when thinking of Bulgaria? With most people they haven't got a clue of how to picture a country that few people know very little about. It is in fact quite a pleasant surprise with resorts such as Sunny Beach, Sunny Day and Golden Sands. Each has long wide stretches of golden sand, a varying selection of bars, shops and restaurants (although if its nigh clubs you're looking for, then this may not be suited to you).
Plenty of watersports are available throughout the Summer months, and you'll find the Bulgarians as a whole both welcoming and friendly.
If it's a bargain holiday you're after then look no further - with beer at 50 pence a bottle need we say more! The scenery is also quite breathtaking, with mountainous backdrops and unspoilt resorts it is perfect for both couples and families alike.
Golden Sands is situated on the Black Sea near to the historic town of Varna. It has wooded hillsides, long sandy beaches, pavement stalls, bars shops and restaurants.
Sunny Beach is the largest of Bulgaria's holiday resorts with everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. It is a purpose built resort with seven miles of long golden sand
Sunny Day is the quietest of the resorts and has just 3 main hotels situated right on the beach

Bulgaria is also great for skiing. The main resorts are Borovets
and Pamorovo
-
If you want warm sunny weather the best time to visit Bulgaria
is in the Summer months when temperatures can reach the mid
80's.
-
English is widely spoken in the main tourist areas and all
major credit cards are accepted.
