Slovak Republic:
In the capital Bratislava, stroll around the old town and visit
some of the country's best museums, also worth a visit is the village
of Cicmany with its quaint painted houses and a trip to the Slovak
Paradise National Park for its fine mountain scenery.
Czech Republic :
In Prague the Toy Museum, and the Petrin Hill park which has a funicular
rail, mirror maze, Planetarium and playground. Or how about a visit
to the marionette theatre.
Slovak Republic:
If they don't suffer from nightmares - take them to the week long
Ghost festival in Bonjnice Chateau at the end of April. For a family
day out visit on of the many folk festivals around the country which
have lots to see including local music, dancing and costume.

Czech Republic: Hiking in the beautiful Cesky raj national park.
Slovak Republic: Skiing, hiking and mountaineering in the Tatra
mountains.

Prague is a great place for music lovers and is now well known
as a European centre for Classical, Jazz and Rock music and has
a good range of evening entertainment including theatre, avant garde
cinema or . Look out for annual music festivals in all the major
cities.
December/January - Prague Winter - a music and theatre festival.
July/August at Vychodna, Central Slovakia - Folklore and costume
festival.
Czech Glass or Crystal is great value, Classical CD's of national
composers and look out for good quality marionettes and wooden toys.
