activity and landscape at Hverarond and Lake Myvatan. The museums
of Reykjavik will give you in depth information into the amazing
history of the country.
Whale watching from the shore or by boat: In Reykjavik the Arbaejarlang
swimming pool has fountains and water slides and even reclining
Jacuzzi seats.
Snowcatting or skidooing is an exciting way to view the amazing
scenery of the Vatnajokull Icecap, the largest in Europe, you can
also go on guided ice walks on the glaciers.
Try delicious smoked lamb served with pickled red cabbage and sugar-browned
potatoes. Black Death is the local brew - a caraway seed flavoured
spirit drunk icy cold try it if you dare.

Where to dance the night away

Reykjavik comes alive at night and has a very lively nightlife
scene; you'll find lots of great bars, disco's and nightclubs.
Seafarers Day is celebrated in June in many of the fishing villages,
with swimming and rowing races and other competitions it's great
fun to watch.
In addition to your own photographs or slides you can buy wonderful
professional slides to impress your friends at most good souvenir
shops.
