All kinds of watersports are available along the coast from snorkeling to sailing. In the main hotels and resorts there may be other organised activities for children. Cozumel's main focus is on diving and snorkeling but there are some good beaches - and most kids enjoy just being at the seaside.
In, on or underwater water - from water-skiing to a cruise on a glass bottomed boat or on land exploring one of the many Mayan ruins. On Cozumel exploring the underwater natural wonders of the surrounding reef s is the main activity but a trip to see the Chankanab Lagoon will give you a chance to dry out.
In Mexico, every day could be an adventure for your taste buds, try to sample some of the regional or local specialties like Yucatan's "sopa de lima" - chicken soup with tortilla and a squeeze of lime juice. With over 25 brands of beer brewed in Mexico alone to choose from a good start would be the local Carta Clara lager or the dark Leon Negro. To keep you from dehydrating after trying out all those different beers try one the many fresh fruit and vegetable juices, milkshakes or flavoured waters available.

Where to dance the night away |
Cancun has a good selection of bars, discos and music venues and is the main nightlife center on the peninsula. Although Cozumel is more low key (all those early rising divers!) there are a few lively discos and bars.
Late February or early March Carnival comes, it is a religious holiday and the festivities include parades with floats and everyone dressing up in costumes. This all takes place at the height of the tourist season when most activities are in full swing.
A lazy afternoon spent at home with a fine locally woven hammock might help remind you of your trip or from Cozumel some fine silver jewelry.
