Quebec has miles of wilderness to explore, wonderful mountains,
thousands of lakes and rivers. The scenic forested coastline of
the gulf of St Lawrence is spectacular and the charming rural eastern

Quebec City's links with France are evident in its architecture,
culture and atmosphere. Modern and sophisticated, the Island City
of Montreal is famous for its fine cuisine and lively nightlife.
Take them on a Whale-watching cruise from the small town of Tadoussac.
The huge La Ronde amusement park in Montreal is also the sight of
a Fireworks competition, run over every weekend in June & July.
Take a picnic and head off for the beach at la Rocher Perce followed
by a boat trip to the largest bird sanctuary in North America, on
Ile Bonaventure.
Mont-Tremblant in the Laurentians Mountains has a huge range of
activities for the outdoor enthusiast downhill and cross-country
skiing, hiking, golf and horse riding or if you don't mind getting
wet join a rafting expedition on the Riviere Rouge.
The French influence in the region has made eating a major feature
of the province's culture from traditional country fare such as
feves au lard - pork & beans to modern haute cuisine. Due to the
abundance of fish from the Gaspe Peninsula seafood is prepared in
a huge variety of ways you can even take it home pickled or salted.

Where to dance the night away

You'll find the best nightclubs and discos in Montreal but both
cities have a wide range of alternative evening entertainment such
as casinos and live music venues. If you get the chance don't miss
a performance by the amazing acrobats and performers of the Cirque
du Soleil in Montreal. In winter most of the larger ski resorts
have quite a lively apres-ski scene.
Nearly 350 concerts are held during the International Jazz festival
which takes place, over 10 days during July in Montreal. In mid
Feb in Quebec City Winter Carnival, 10 nights of parades, fireworks
displays, winter sports competitions and ice sculpting around the
same time there is also a winter carnival in Montreal.
Interesting and unusual American arts & crafts and local handicrafts
such as patchwork quilts. You'll find a vast selection of printed
t-shirts everywhere as over 90% of Canada's maple syrup is produced
here you'll find it sold everywhere.
