Alternative Safari - Namibia
Namibia - Etosha National Park and its amazing variety of wildlife,
in the dry season huge herds of animals can be seen roaming over
some of the most fantastic scenery in Africa. Apart from the large
numbers of lion and leopard that can be seen, a few white rhino
have recently been introduced to the park.
Namibia - Guided desert and mountain hiking on the Fish River or
Namib Nauluft trail. The desert around Swakopmund has become a popular
place for dune boarding - where you can reach speeds of up to 70
Kph! Or if you prefer 4 legs to 2, you can ride across the desert
or along side the game in some of the parks and reserves.
Namibia - the best time for game viewing is between July and October,
if you're a keen photographer April to June can give spectacular
results with blue skies and lush vegetation.
Namibia - Leather is made into all sorts of accessories from carrying
bags to traditional clothing such as sandals and head dresses, or
some beautiful jewelry made from locally made beads.
