A new survey has revealed some of the stranger habits of British tourists, as well as things that would be on their holiday wishlist.
Real Holidays magazine questioned 250,000 people, and found that the favourite holidays destinations were the Balearics, the Canaries, Greece and its islands and Spain.
Money permitting, places such as Australia, the US, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, the Maldives and Japan were also popular.
When asked which celebrity they would most like to sit next to on a flight, comedian Billy Connolly came out on top, followed by Richard Branson and Robbie Williams.
And Brits were adventurous on holiday too, trying all sorts of local dishes. Some of the more bizarre included sheep's eyeballs in batter in Dubai, cactus worms in Mexico and baked armadillo in the West Indies.
Many though could not be separated from their home comforts. Some 50 per cent took tea bags away with them, 32 per cent packed coffee and 24 per cent even took cereal.
Alison Crampin, editor of Real Holidays, said: "The British passion for holidays get more adventurous every year but even the most ambitious traveller likes to take a piece of home away with them.
"For many holidaymakers, this means they get the best of both worlds - they're surrounded by home comforts and favourite foods while exploring new and exciting places."
