Michael Jackson went on a morale boosting sojourn to Japan over the weekend, visiting US army troops and their families in a military base in Tokyo.
The 48-year-old singer has been partying in the Japanese capital and swung by Camp Zuma in order to give his countrymen his gratitude for their service to the US.
"Those of you in here today are some of the most special people in the world," he told the 3,000 strong crowd.
"It is because of you in here today and others who so valiantly have given their lives to protect us that we enjoy our freedom."
Unsurpassed for its bright lights and thrilling night life, Tokyo is a must-see destination on a trip to Japan due to its architectural brilliance and notoriously lively nightlife.
Odaiba and Roppongi Hills are some of the top locations to hit the tiles, while the shopping centres of Shibuya are said to be some of the best in south-east Asia.
