Holiday resorts in the Caribbean are developing child-friendly facilities in a bid to become a more family-orientated holiday destination.
Thousands of cricket families from around the world have flocked to the Caribbean this spring for the cricket world cup and in response, many resorts on the islands are developing their services for the younger generation.
One such resort is the Emerald Mist Spa, part of the Marriott Resort and the Royal Beach Casino on St Kitts, which is now offering a full menu of spa services for children and teenagers.
Spa director Rachel Stormes told TravelMole: "By offering spa services for our younger guests, we are not only adding to their vacation experience, we are also helping them develop positive attitudes toward beauty and overall wellness that they can apply throughout their lives."
Although the tournament has been overshadowed by the murder of Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer, holidaymakers to the Caribbean have reported a carnival atmosphere on the nine islands where the matches are being held.
