Actor friends Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman are due to cross the equator at some point this week as they travel from Scotland to South Africa on their motorbikes.
The pair famously went round the world on their bikes three years ago, spawning a best-selling book and hit television show chronicling their adventures.
On their current trip, a BBC television team will also follow the pair as they visit 20 countries in three months, all in the name of charity.
While McGregor has found fame playing a Jedi Master in the new Star War films, he admitted that he still has trouble staying on his bike.
"I come off all the time," the 36-year old wrote in their travel log for their previous adventure.
"I come off more than anybody else, when it comes to falling off, I am the team faller."
In addition, the pair conceded that the 45 degree heat of Egypt was one of the toughest challenges they faced.
Despite the heat, however, they could not fail but to be impressed as they rode past the awe-inspiring wonders of Ancient Egypt, including the Valley of the Kings, as well as the natural wonders of the Nile, which are best seen on a leisurely cruise.
