The coastal bars and clubs of Ibiza are no doubt stocking up on Cristal champagne following the news that the rap star P Diddy is to holiday on his yacht in the water surrounding the Balearic island.
While the star, whose real name is Sean Combs, is well known for his love of wild parties and night life, if rumours are to believed then he is taking a break in order to romance the actress Sienna Miller.
And, just as Ibiza is indeed a clubber's paradise, so too is it the perfect destination for a relaxing break, even for those holidaymakers without their own luxury yachts.
Visitors looking for the 'real Ibiza' should forget the neon and noise of San Antonio and head up to the northern coast.
Though the White Island is merely the size of the Isle of Man, after just a few minutes drive inland, travellers are transported to a different world, with sweeping forests, olive groves and picture-perfect villages made up of white-washed houses dotted around.
The small town of San Miguel has it all; charming restaurants serving traditional Mediterranean fare which are popular with both tourists and locals, affordable yet chic accommodation and the stunning beach of Benniras just a stone's throw from the centre.
With a little effort and few preconceptions, Ibiza represents the perfect Mediterranean island getaway for, but be warned, it can be addictive.
