Passengers will now be able to take advantage of every single holiday destination worldwide as Boeing today unveiled the world's longest-range airliner, the 777-200 LR.
Boeing claims that the aircraft will be able to connect any two cities in the world, "non-stop". The 777-200 LR has a range of about 9,400 nautical miles, which is even longer than the Airbus A340-500, currently the world's longest-range airline.
Although tourists may have to wait a little longer, as it is expected that airlines will wait to see how the plane, which can carry 301 passengers, performs before placing an order.
Boeing has claimed that the jet can fly non-stop from New York to Hong Kong with a full load of passengers and 24 tons of cargo. Long haul flights may never be the same again.
