Smoking ban in Irish pubs
Mar 9, 2004, 09:19

A new law in Ireland comes into effect on 29 March which will ban smoking in Irish pubs, restaurants and work places. The new law has sparked angry concern from publicans and hoteliers about its potential impact on their businesses. Publicans have argued that they need a longer lead-in time to make adjustments to prepare for a smoke free environment. Dublin is one of the most popular city break destinations and the Temple Bar club and pub scene has thrived over the last few years.
