Holiday News
I'm not a celebrity, but let me in there!

The next King or Queen of the jungle will be announced this evening at the culmination of the latest series of TV show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

While Sid Owen, Carol Thatcher and Sheree Murphy await to see who the public will choose to win Ant and Dec's Australian jungle show, a new survey has revealed that British holidaymakers would not be adverse to a few japes in the jungle themselves.

According to Norwich Union Travel, we are getting more adventurous when we are on holiday, as we are prepared to try more local dishes and go without our creature comforts.

In order to be seen as immersing oneself in local cuisine, nearly one in two of us would willingly taste kangaroo, while a third would sample snake and a quarter would try a portion of guinea pig.

Nearly half of us would give up the luxury of showering or using deodorant whilst on holiday, while one in four would make do without toilet paper.

Some of the more adventurous might live to regret that decision though if they can't handle activities such as abseiling, skydiving and rainforest canopy walking, pursuits 42 per cent of Brits say they would have a go at doing.
