Rest yourself in Romania

Romania is something of an undiscovered gem.
Boasting the beautiful scenery, medieval architecture and cheap living typical of many the Eastern Bloc countries now coming into fashion, the country nonetheless retains a rustic air of authenticity that will capture your imagination.
The ancient town of Brasov, which dates back to Saxon times, is home to the magnificent Black Church and makes a great base for sightseeing in the surrounding area.
Local attractions include Bran Castle, the original home of Dracula, and a repeat holiday favourite with Wesley Snipes who spent time filming Seven Seconds in the area.
To the south, Bucovina's painted monasteries will take your breath away. Rated among the finest architectural treasures in Europe, the walls are adorned with biblical images and stories dating back to medieval times.
Romania's capital, Bucharest, boasts similar beauty with a more westernised lifestyle. If you're after some good old-fashioned relaxation this is the spot you want, surrounded by vineyards and numerous spas offering great pampering at typically affordable prices.
The spas are perhaps one of the country's greatest attraction, and count John F. Kennedy and Marlene Dietrich among their past clientele.
For an interesting break with a difference, you won't find better value than Romania.
