Can I take golf clubs and ski equipment?
Yes, you can take golf clubs or ski equipment. Other items you can take are pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Airlines will allow you to take these items as long as there is capacity in the aircraft hold.
Most airlines allow sporting equipment to form part of your luggage allowance, so you need to make sure that you do not exceed your 20Kg luggage allowance per person otherwise the airline may make a charge for excess baggage.
Some airlines now charge a fee for the carriage of golf clubs and other sports equipment. Air 2000 charge £15 for short haul flights and £30 for long haul flights. These charges apply if you pre-book, however, the charges increase by £5 if you don't pre-book and instead pay at the check-in desk.
